It’s all about energy efficiency. Here is the 10 tips you can apply to save on your energy bills.
- Do you know even turning the appliances and electronics off it still draw a little kw of energy? Unplug those.
- Use higher temperature water for a wash because it use less energy.
- Fill you refrigerator full of things, the lesser the weight of item in your refrigerator the more energy is required to keep the temperature maintained at freeze level or chilly temperature.
- Screen savers do not save you money because it still need electricity to keep the monitor running. (Sometimes even more energy is consumed than a blank freeze screen)
- When you can shut down your computer because sleep mode still eat up energy but only at 55% ~ 65%.
- Don’t restarting an appliance if you need to use it after only a few minute, an extra bit surge of energy is required to restart.
- If you are in warm climate area, paint your house with light color paint. Also a light colored roof reflect the sunlight temperature.
- Shut and close the vent and doors in unused rooms, I don’t know its effectiveness but it works.
- Turn off your cooling system (or heating system), the energy required to take your house temperature back to the set Fahrenheit is less than the energy it required to keep running.
- Fill your gas to halfway because a full tank is much more heavier and we know more weight means more energy is required thus it is not very energy effective.
BONUS: Buy a ligth colored car because it reflect sunlight heat and it need less air conditioning to bring temperature down. Dark-colored car absorb heat energy from sun so the result is reversed.
